My first ceramics class was at the Wustum Arts Center in Racine at about age seven. In grade school, plasticine was my favorite media and high school found me back in low fire clay. However, it wasn't until my sophomore year in college that I fell in love with the media. Fortunately, my professor, Don Reitz, was not only one of the best studio / art potters in the world, but he also became a good friend. It's with great pride that I can say I was his lab assistant for two years while attending the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
