Add Extension In Trixbox

Adding An IP Phone or softphone

To add an extension, click on Extensions.

You have a choice of a generic SIP, IAX2, Zap or Custom device. Here I will be adding a SIP device. Click on Generic SIP Device and Submit.

The extension number I'm using is 4444. The password for that extension is entered in the box for Secret. Farther down the page is a box for you to enter in the e-mail notification address. Whenever you receive a message, you get an e-mail notification to that address.
