Teaching

I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses on a number of topics, including Microeconomics, Health Economics and Global Health, both in the UK and Brazil.

My approach to teaching follows my research profile quite closely, meaning that a focus on the application of economic tools to real world problems is paramount. My goal is to provide students with the necessary economic techniques to understand these problems as well as the pros and cons of alternative policy directions. I also try to stimulate frequent discussions around the strengths and weaknesses of standard economic tools to analyse problems in fields such as health and development.
