My research interests include a variety of topics in the fields of global health economics and development economics.
I have published academic papers and policy reports on health system financing issues and the impact evaluation of health policies and programmes, from both the methodological and applied points of view, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries.
I also lead research work on the relationships between conflict violence, health outcomes and the health system. Watch the video to see an example of this research work, from my keynote address at the 7th Austrian Health Economics Association Conference.
