Reflections ( Lessons Learned)
1. What did you learn?
In Module three, i learned about the Five forces module and value chains to understand competitiveness in industries. In addition, In the Five Forces module, i learned about the forces being, the threat of substitutes, threat of new entrants, competitive rivalry, bargaining power of both buyers and suppliers. Furthermore, these forces really show how smart Michael Porter was, by identifying these forces, it really showed me the business aspect of things. This module showed me how there are certain steps you need to take to maintain the competitive nature of your industry.
2. What learning techniques worked best for you?
The technique that worked best for me was by watching the Youtube video called " Designing for the Internet of Things" by Rodolphe Khoury, who is very intelligent and creative. He really opened my eyes about how the future's technology is infinite.
3. How will what you have learned help you become a better student or professional?
This module has helped me become a better professional by showing me the business aspect of things, and how competitive nature of an industry is a big deal!
4. If more time was available, what class topic would you like to continue learning
If more time was available i would like to learn more about the "internet of things". It truly is an interesting topic, and shows how the sky is the limit in terms of future technology that incorporates the cloud.
5. If you had more time, how would you make your portfolio better?
If i had more time, i would like to improve the graphical images in my assignment portfolio, i simply did not have the time to make it as nice as i wanted it to be.
