Code of Conduct

Revelstoke Acrobats is fully committed to promoting the well being of all members.

The Club believes that it is important that all members, coaches, Board members and parents associated with Revelstoke Acrobats should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others.

Members are encouraged to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about an aspect of the club according to the ‘Complaint Protocol’.

Members are encouraged to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about an aspect of the Club according to the ‘Complaint Protocol’.

ATHLETES SHALL:

  • be friendly, supportive and welcoming to all Club members

  • treat athletes, coaches, staff and other members with courtesy and respect

  • behave and listen to instructions from the coaches and assistants

  • respect the rights and dignity of all participants regardless of age, gender or ability

  • refrain from bullying whether in person or electronically (social media)

  • show team spirit, loyalty and be a team player

  • take pride, care and be proud of the training facility

  • be punctual, productive and positive at all times

  • refrain from using phones or electronic devices at any time during training

PARENTS SHALL:

  • remember that their child trains in this facility for his or her own enjoyment and benefit

  • be friendly, supportive and welcoming to all club members

  • treat athletes, coaches, staff and other members with courtesy and respect

  • teach their child that doing their best is more important that winning

  • offer praise to their child for doing their best

  • not give instructions to athletes while training

  • never ridicule their child for making a mistake or losing a competition

  • not approach a coach during training time

COACHES SHALL:

  • strive to maintain a respectful and positive environment for all athletes, coaches, staff and other members

  • encourage good sportsmanship and teamwork for all athletes

  • keep the athlete’s best interests in mind when delivering any training program

  • be punctual, productive and positive at all times

  • respect the rights and dignity of all participants regardless of age, gender or ability

  • treat athletes, parents, staff and other members with courtesy and respect

  • refrain from using phones or electronic devices at any time during training
