FAQ

Are there any costs involved if one is presenting at the RES junior symposium?

No, the Symposium is free of charge. However, in order to register for the Symposium you will need to have an RES Membership.

A student membership of the Royal Economic Society costs 12 pounds. You can sign up here: https://www.res.org.uk/membership/join-online.html.

Of course, there are travel and accommodation costs. With regards to travel, if you do not have funding from your own university, you can apply for coverage of your main travel expense (check for further details the 'financial support' page).

Can I participate if I do not present?

Yes, attendance (up to full capacity) is encouraged for all who are interested. Registration (and therefore membership of the RES) will be required.

Do I need to provide any other information when I have handed in a paper?

Besides making sure we can reach you via mail, there is no need to provide further information once you have handed in a paper. Once our reviewers have reviewed all the papers and we have a selection, we will get in touch with everyone who has handed in a paper and open registration.
