College Email

You have been assigned a college email address, and we encourage you to check your mailbox daily. Any correspondence from the eLab staff will be sent to this account once registered and set up in your program.

Your email account is firstnamelastname@loyalistc.on.ca

This email account will be available to you throughout your College career and three months following completion or withdrawal from your program.

Banner

Banner is the student information system used at Loyalist College. You will always have access to banner however the password may be reset annually depending on usage. This access is a life long, however the password may be reset annual if not used. Banner provides access to:

· Course Registration

· Account Receivable activity

· Grades

· Your Student Record (make any necessary changes such as an address update, etc)

· T2202A Income Tax Receipts (in late February)

· Transcript Requests

· And more

Your user identification is your student number and your PIN is your date of birth in format YYMMDD. You will be asked to reset your PIN—please take note of your new pin and reminder question.

Network Storage

On Campus:

Once you have signed onto any College computer, you will notice an M: drive. This is your personal drive on the College storage system. Anything saved to this drive will be backed up daily. Please store your files in the My Documents section of your M: drive. In addition, you have been provided with a jump drive. Use this as a back up of your files, as well as transportation of files between the College and home.

From Home:

If you have an internet connection at home, you can access your storage by going to

www.myloyalist.com/web/mycampus/home

Mistakenly Deleted a File from the M: Drive?

LMS Platform

The LMS is Loyalist College’s in-house online learning platform. This platform is used primarily for Post Secondary programs offered at a distance. For example ECE or SSW.

There are two ways to access this site:

The first is by login to the Myloyalist Portal. Simply go to www.myloyalist.com and follow the login steps outlined on page 12 of this manual.

The second is going to the www.myloyalist.com and clicking on the quick links located underneath the login area. This will take you to a list of available sites and bypass the login area for any students who may experience issues with their web settings.
