Keynote Speaker

Dr. Jeanette McConnell

Dr. Jeanette McConnell is a champion for fun STEM education, an advocate for our environment, a writer, and just really enjoys helping others realize they have the power to reach their goals. From making STEM education fun and accessible to helping those with a STEM background find a career path they love, her goal and passion is to help others grow and make their unique contribution to STEM. Last year she is a part of Homeward Bound, a groundbreaking strategic leadership and science initiative for women in STEM, which culminates in a 3-week voyage to Antarctica. Through Homeward Bound Jeanette will enhance the visibility of the diversity that exists within STEM and work to grow an even more diverse group of future STEM leaders.

Her current position is Education, Outreach and Diversity Coordinator for the NSF Center for Aerosol Impacts on Chemistry of the Environment.
