Sponsorship Opportunities Youth In Science Rapid City, Inc., a non-profit charity formed in 2010, in partnership with South Dakota Mines WiSE, is hosting a free, Women in Science Conference on March 11, 2025, at the South Dakota Mines Campus in Rapid City. The objective of this conference is to provide 800+ 7th grade girls with hands-on opportunities to learn about careers in science, technology, mathematics, and engineering from local professionals working in these fields. A survey of students who attended the 2024 conference showed that before attending 33% were considering a science related career, and after attending 73% would now consider a career in STEM. 

A donation of $500 allows approximately 25 young women, their teachers, and chaperones to attend the conference free of charge. Sponsorship acknowledgement will include organization name and logo on the Youth in Science Rapid City Facebook page, acknowledgement in the conference program, as well as displayed at the conference. 

Sponsorship Levels Platinum: $5,000

Gold: $1,000 - $4,999 

Silver: $500 - $999 

Bronze: Up to $499

• Lunch for Participants and Volunteers: $9,000
• Facilities Rental: $3,000
• Keynote Speaker: $3,000+
• Planetarium Rentals: $1,000
• Program Printing: $1,000
• Conference Stickers: $500
• Snacks for Participants: $500 

Youth In Science Rapid City, Inc., is a registered nonprofit public charity (501.3c) under IRS code section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) and is eligible to receive tax deductible gifts. Our EIN number is 27-2123836. 

Multiple sponsorship opportunities are available for organizations to support specific conference giveaways (with logo or other identifier) that will be distributed to conference attendees, including conference bags, pencils, pens, or other creative ideas.
