For the FT-101 (B/E/F ... Series), works similar way like the Yaesu FC-601, and cost 75 to 80% less!

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION ( FT-101 B/E/F ... Series, Kenwood TS-520, and TS-820 ):

The counter measure the VFO frequency, and compute math with the offset for each BAND and MODE.

Inside crystal oscillators (carrier and heterodyne) of the radio, must be calibrated!

The 3 position toggle switch, change the offset, for LSB, AM , USB.

Through the momentary push-button, you can select all the bands, or the direct counter function!

Pressing the push-button for more long moment, you can select too, the 1Hz or 10Hz counter resolution.

You will need to plug the counter to the radio, and select the counter frequency band, according to the radio band.

The RF signal and the DC power came from the 8pin (OCTAL) VFO FT-101 (B/E/F ... ), and for TS-520 from the 9pin (NOVAL) socket.

Refer to your radio manual for details, and see the rear panel sockets of each radio, for the VFO output.

The counter measure the VFO frequency.

The counter display the frequency with OFFSET (+/- IF).

The 2 position toggle switch select the +/- OFFSET:

LSB - for the 160m*, 80m and 40m band and USB for the 20m* to 10m band.

NO "REVERSE SIDE BAND" OPERATION FOR THIS COUNTER!

Frequency range: 1MHz to 35MHz. Frequency Resolution 10Hz.

For the Atlas radio:

DC power can be from the rear panel 9pin (NOVAL) socket of the Atlas 210x, 215x* 180*.

Instead the DC power from the NOVAL socket, can be used too the 13V LO AMPS!
