Cricket is a socio-cultural phenomenon that brings more people together than sets them apart. The game envelops all manner of people from various countries, color, language, faith and age. The development of new formats has done much to broaden the game's appeal. The Nationwide Windball Cricket Tournament, as it is now known, originated in the New York area over thirty years ago. The tournament initially consisted of two teams. During the last two decades, as the migrant population has increased, windball cricket has risen in popularity and has now become the game of choice for many. We are all custodians of the game and the game will prosper if we leave it better than we found it.
