Webinar: The PLTL Boost: Transforming STEM Education

Peer-led Team Learning (PLTL) introduces small, peer-led discussion groups as an integral part of a STEM course. PLTL originated in a chemistry course at the City College of New York in the early 1990's, and has been expanded nationwide to chemistry and other STEM disciplines. A large body of research exists demonstrating the effectiveness of PLTL in increasing student success. PLTL has been widely adopted by both disciplinary faculty and learning center directors. This Webinar will briefly summarize the practice of PLTL and then present a critical review of the published research on PLTL in chemistry, mathematics, biology, and engineering.
