Welcome

Welcome to Troop 277!

Troop 277 is an all boy Troop that is all about the Advancement and Recognition of each and every Scout with a clear focus on keeping their interest levels high by emphasizing FUN! Our Scouts build strong values, strong leadership skills, and lifelong memories of having fun in Scouts. Troop 277 is a functional “Boy Led Troop”!

Where and When?

Troop 277 has weekly Troop meetings on Monday nights at Christ Episcopal Church (400 San Juan Drive Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082).

We also plan, well in advance, monthly camp-outs during the School year and a week long Summer Camp each summer.

Being a Scout

Scouts learn and experience many things that non-scouts typically do not have the opportunity or time to.

Scouts learn survival skills and how to cook and camp. They also learn how to craft many things, such as fires and teepees. Scouts can sail and climb the tallest mountains, can transverse the thickest forests, and conquer the wilderness. But Scouts can also help in tasks and heal others in spirit. Scouts are the harvest of man. The cream of Humanities’ crop lies in the Scout.

Scouting America is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.
