Message Format Compromise - March 2010
Long Form - Unit A calling Unit B - Unit B answering Unit A - Unit A to Unit B, please meet me on Side 1 - Unit B to Unit A, I will meet you one Side 1
Short Form - A to B, meet me on Side 1 - OK
Compromise Form - Unit A to Unit B - Unit B answering Unit A - meet me on Side 1 - Unit B OK
For claritys sake, it is best if every radio message contains a ID - however, too many IDs just clutter the airwaves - if no one ever gives their IDs, then it is quite possible that no one will be able to figure out who is talking to whom
