- The Puget Sound Skills Center website has a link to "Student Online Assignments" which takes you to the standard assignment for the week in question.
- These will be worth between 90pts and 120pts, at most, towards your semester grade. This is substantial.
- If access to the internet is difficult, please ask for a paper copy.

- Write a video game review.
- Here is how to write a video game review, and see Bulletstorm Review.docx or FFXV REVIEW.docx at the bottom of this page for good student examples.
- Pick a game you can play.
- Play the game, write a review.
- Do not rely on your memory of this game - go back and look at it with fresh eyes.
- This should be a full page, submitted as a document, printed out if you like.
- Turn in your response for up to 120pts; score based on entertainment value, critical thinking, length, brevity, and focus.
- Make the storyboard for a video game.
- Good resources are My Hollywood Dream and an excellent old site.
- Get a template from one of these, or elsewhere.
- Check out the storyboard bit here, or find your own.
- Make a storyboard with at least six (6) frames.
- The goal here is to tell the story behind your video game. Think of this as an intro cutscene, if you like.
- Turn this in digitally. You may fill it out by hand if you like, but submit it via email, etc.
- Grading will be based on writing, story flow, art, and quintessence. Look it up. This is worth 90pts.
- Write an argument.
- Read an article in Gamasutra.
- Think about what you have read.
- Write your response in standard 5-paragraph theme format: Agree, disagree, or critique.
- Turn in your response for up to 120pts; score based on originality, critical thinking, length, brevity, and focus.
- Find a job.
- Go to the Gamasutra Job Postings, or similar.
- Find at least three (3) jobs in which you might someday be interested.
- For each of these, note at least three (3) qualifications you would need to be considered for the post.
- Write how you would achieve each of these qualifications.
- Turn in your response for up to 90pts; score based on originality, length, research, brevity, and utility.
- Write a short industrial-strength biography.
- Look up the name of someone prominent in the video game industry. Use the internet, copies of magazines in class, etc.
- Research this person, using at least two (2) different sources. Go ahead and change subjects if you cannot find enough information.
- List these references in your final work. Very important, as I will check them.
- Review how to write a biography. This may be from your own resources, here, there, or elsewhere.
- Write a short biography - no more than three pages - on this person.
- Turn in your work for up to 90pts; score based on research, length, human interest, and audience engagement.
- FAFSA
- Go to the FAFSA website and download the form.
- You will need to set up an account with them.
- Fill out your non-personal information, e.g. name, etc.
- Place in your portfolio, along with the login information.
- Show to your instructor for up to 100pts.
- Education means moneys.
- Read this article.
- Think about what you have read.
- Write your response in standard 5-paragraph theme format: How does this relate to your life, or those you know?
- Turn in your response for up to 120pts; score based on originality, critical thinking, length, brevity, and focus.
