Welcome to the Google site for the Video Game Programming (AP) course at Puget Sound Skills Center by the DigiPen Institute of Technology. Students learn computer programming, mathematics, and project leadership in the context of video game production. They spend half a day at PSSC and half at their "sending" school. Watch this excellent video about PSSC. This is an AP Computer Science Principles course.

If you are a high school student in the Puget Sound area with an interest in learning how to create video games, using computer programming languages, and working hard for your goals, please contact your school counselor or the instructor, Dr. Chris Cornuelle ( pssc dot digipen at gmail dot com ). What happens in this class:

Syllabus
Meets 7.55 a.m. - 10.25 a.m. (Session 1) or 11:15 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. (Session 2)
PSSC 2019-20 Calendar
Use DigiPen's Zero Editor educational video game engine.
Learn C/C++/C# programming and principles of object-oriented coding with Microsoft Visual Studio.
Prepare for a career and/or college with a portfolio, resume, and presentation skills.
Learn to use digital tools to create game graphics, sounds, and music; see Art Resources on the left.
Understand the mathematics behind video game design, including algebra, trigonometry, linear algebra, and more.
Work in teams to finish projects on time and under budget.
Year 2 students learn JavaScript and other languages.
