Nicaea, Bithynia 40° 27' N, 29° 43' E, a city in Turkey at the eastern end of the Ascanian Lake, primarily known from as a meeting place in the early Christian church. (wikipedia). It is currently known as İznik, Turkey. Google satellite map.

Reverse: ΝΙΚΑΙEΩΝ (NIKAIEwN) (NIKAIEVN) Elephant covered with a saddle and harnessings, going to the right and ridden by a mahout who holds in each hand a hooked pivot. Note: From portrait and legend could be either Elagabalus or Caracalla. Nicaea used the same for both. The diameter is 22.7 mm and is 5.23 g, die axis 200 deg. It matches Roman Provincial Coins Online Examples without reference # listed. 566 has different legend on Roman Provincial Coins Online, but 566 might be the closest.
