It is quite easy to get caught up in the ‘happy shopper’ mentality of prepping…

I know. I am right in the middle of building a Bug Out vehicle and have an endless wishlist!

What I mean by that is – It is easy to buy tools, nice to haves, I want it, what does it do(!?) and the like based on the notion that one day I might need them.

Well, although fun to buy and play with, toys and gizmos are not essential.

Focus on water and food.

This is for certain: YOU WILL NEED FOOD AND WATER, NO MATTER WHAT!

In the Netherlands, where I live, we take water for granted. It is everywhere!

However, in a Bug Out situation this could very well be different.

Water

Drinking water

Water storage

Water preservers

Water filters

Water faucets, pumps & hoses

Water bags, carriers, containers

Water purification tablets

Drinking cups
