Intro

This week focuses on resources freely available for teachers. GoogleApps is a product that educational entities can use for free. It is a cloud based suite of tools that allow you to accomplish more!

Resources and Tutorials

We are going to learn about the tools available from Google

There is an excellent site available at http://sites.google.com/site/googoltools but the resources change so fast and are so dynamic that creating tutorials is challenging. Follow along in class and then explore on your own. Since we will use these resources for the entire class you should get a pretty solid understanding of them.

Tasks:

• 1. Create a GoogleSite

  2. Create at least 3 pages

     1. UEN

     2. Safety Faire

     3. About Me

  3. Add two each

     1. Documents (embedded or linked)

     2. Presentations (embedded)

     3. Spreadsheets or Forms (embedded or linked)

  4. Your completed UEN Scavenger Hunt

1. Include a Google Calendar with at least 3 events in the coming month
