We first met Nydes through our charity, then called FRODO (now Humanitias) which we set up to help abandoned and disabled children in Romania and Albania. Nydes lived in our home over the summer to provide care and intensive physiotherapy to a 2 year old boy, Viorel, following his surgery at Great Ormond Street to correct a birth defect on his feet.
Both we and the surgeons and staff at Great Ormond Street were incredibly impressed with Nydes's skill, professionalism and absolute determination to help this little boy to walk and recover. Nydes is patient, kind and has a natural gift with children. Physiotherapy, and helping children, is a true vocation for him.
Over the ten years I have known Nydes, I have seen him help other children connected to our charity, both in Romania and in London. He worked with Viorel for over a year from his original surgery and it is largely thanks to Nydes's work that Viorel can now walk, run, play football and lead a normal life. But Viorel was just one of many.
Nydes has worked with autistic children, and toddlers and babies with a wide range of disabilities, both physical and psychological. He has achieved excellent outcomes for all the children he has worked with for our organization. He has also become very close to my own children and I would trust him with my life, and theirs.
We feel very lucky to have met him, both professionally and now as a friend. I recommend Vasile without reservation or hesitation as a dedicated and talented physiotherapist, particularly skilled with children of all ages.
