The Friends League follows all NFHS rules with the following league modifications:
Goalie does not have to leave the game for any injury if deemed okay by Athletic Trainer.
The clock operator must stop the clock with 2 minutes remaining in the game. The official time is kept by the center referee.
Regular Season Overtime:
NFHS Rule - 2 x 10 minute golden goal. Tie stays if no team scores.
Postseason Overtime:
2 - 10 minute golden goal halves. If the game is still tied, kicks from the mark (penalty kicks).
Referee Uniforms
NISOA (NCAA) uniforms. Officials should not wear PIAA jerseys (stripe jerseys or pro styles with PIAA patch).
All referees must match jersey color and style including socks.
Officials should wear all black socks (NISOA).
Note: A combination of short sleeve and long sleeve is acceptable.
Officials Pre-Match
For varsity matches - the center referee must contact their ARs at least 24 hours before the match to coordination what jerseys and socks should be worn.
For JV and Freshman matches - communicate with your partner what uniform options are available at least 24 hours before your game.
Note: All officials' contact information is located within Arbiter.
Communication Systems
For varsity matches - if one member of the officiating crew has a communication system for all 3 officials, they must be worn.

Issues During the Game
If you have a serious issue during a game, please reach out to Chris Kelly @ 267-688-1553. It is extremely important to give Chris a head up and be prepared for any calls from school administrators.
Red Cards
Red Cards need to be reported to Chris Kelly (pasoccerrefs@gmail.com) and the league chairperson (please see below for the chairperson).
