For the second time in less than a year delegates from the Volta River Authority (VRA), the largest producer of electricity in Ghana, visited South Africa for a skills development workshop which had a focus on Knowledge Management (KM). "This visit covered more advanced topics and had a much more practical orientation than the previous introductory level workshop held in 2013" says Dr Peter Tobin of PTC who hosted the workshop. The workshop was held at 4Living Guest House and Conference Centre and included several sessions where guest speakers from local companies were able to explain the role of KM in their organisations.
"The opportunity to meet with South African KM practitioners as well as reviewing a number of topics key to our successful deployment of KM at VRA" says Mr Bright Siayor, the VRA Director responsible for KM "fully justified our visit, and with Dr Tobin's guidance we expect to fully achieve our KM strategy implementation objectives".
