The Association for Office Professionals of South Africa (OPSA) recently hosted the OPSA/Rexel SA National Office Professional of the Year Award at a gala workshop held at Avianto, Gauteng. According to OPSA "This award is South Africa's longest running and most prestigious award for administrative professionals in South Africa. Now its 33rd year, it offers a unique opportunity to acknowledge office professionals who show a high level of initiative, a commitment to developing the profession and mentoring others and a strong understanding of the way in which business works."
Roger Mulhollandled a fast-faced, lively and engaging session on Personal Resilience which saw the largely female audience of over 150 people challenged, delighted and amused. It was then the turn of Dr Peter Tobin of PTC to talk about Resilience and the link to Data Privacy. This saw the audience engage with implications of the POPI Act, in the context of recent data privacy stories such as the incident at Ashley Madison where subscriber details were hacked.
