As part of the strategic alliance with IACT-Africa and the Association of Residential Communities (ARC) PTC founder Dr Peter Tobin has delivered a series of workshops and presentations in two provinces of South Africa in the month of October 2015. "Both Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal provinces have many residential communities that are members of ARC, and I was delighted to be asked to deliver workshops which addressed the role of the Information Officer in terms of the POPI Act and related Promotion of Access to Information Act" says Dr Tobin. Also covered were pointers to achieving compliance with the POPI Act bearing in mind the special needs of the Home Owner Associations which usually run the affairs of these communities.
A separate annual event which addresses the needs of the public relations and marketing officers within the ARC member base saw Dr Tobin posing "!0 POPI puzzlers" by way of a fast-paced light-hearted quiz on POPi compliant practices.
