"Although having a web site is no guarantee of success, failing to maintain a dynamic online presence is tantamount to inviting failure" says Dr Peter Tobin, Founding Director of PTC.
"Two customers told me that they recently checked out my credibility through internet searches as well as a thorough review of the the PTC web site" says Dr Tobin, "and as a result decided to attend an IT Governance workshop facilitated by PTC".
Some of the web site statistics (provided free of charge by Google Analytics ) make for interesting reading. Since its launch in early May 2012 and up the end of October 2012 the PTC web site has seen over 200 unique visitors in total accounting for over 300 total visits and over 2000 pages viewed.
"There is a great opportunity to learn from the extent to which visitors spend what time where on the site" says Dr Tobin. "With twelve major components (accessed via tabs) on the site, and over thirty news items posted since the site went live, the content has grown rapidly in line with the level of activity in PTC over the period" adds Dr Tobin. "The next six months are sure to see an increase in visitor numbers, as well as a growing diversity in terms of the range and depth of content of the site itself. In summary, the PTC web site is proving to be an important part of the overall strategy to improve PTC's stakeholder communications".
