PTC founder Dr Peter Tobin recently took part as an observer at the "Save The Frogs Day (STFD)" which is a global initiative aimed at raising environmental awareness in young people. "The Wot-if? Trust facilitated the South African leg of the STFD at the Father Louis Blondel Centre in Diepsloot, an informal settlement north of Johannesburg" says Dr Tobin, " and it was a pleasure to witness the diversity of activities and level of enthusiasm among the over 200 young people who took part in the event.
Dr Tobin was an observer as part of the commitment of PTC to support The Wot-if Trust in their use of formal Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) processes and tools to improve the value delivered to all of the stakeholders involved in such community initiatives. "We expect to see significant benefit from a more formal adoption of M&E as the pressure for demonstrable value rises in line with growing expectations on the part of both community members and funders" says Dr Tobin.
