During March 2014 a delegation from GRIDCo, Ghana, visited South Africa to investigate various aspects of Knowledge Management (KM). "Their trip was multi-faceted" says Dr Peter Tobin of PTC. "The formal workshop component cover the fundamentals of not only KM, but important related areas such as Project Management and Monitoring & Evaluation. This thorough grounding was complemented with a number of visits to enterprises across a range of industries, including Research, Power Generation & Distribution, Financial Services and Mining". "The welcome we received was overwhelmingly friendly and thoroughly professional, leaving us with a strong motivation to implement the lessons we have learned during our visit" says Mrs Emily Otoo Asare, Head Knowledge Management at GRIDCo. Another aspect of their visit allowed the GRIDCo executives to become familiar with aspects of South African culture, history and politics, through visits and debates with local South Africans as well as residents native to the United Kingdom and Ghana.
