As a sign of the growing partnership with IACT-Africa Dr Peter Tobin of PTC co-authored a paper presented with John Cato of IACT-Africa at the recent ITWeb Governance Risk and Compliance Conference held at The Forum, Bryanston, South Africa. The paper entitled "Measuring the maturity of IT Governance using maturity assessments"explored a number of issues including the range of maturity models available, the value and benefits of maturity assessments, the dependencies for a successful assessment, some specific practical examples and recommendations for assessment activities. "Judging by the interest shown by the audience and the level of the discussion after the presentation it is clear that our paper was highly relevant to organisations who want to measure their progress in their IT governance efforts" says John Cato, founding director of IACT-Africa. "The combination of the experience of IACT-Africa and the contributions of its network partners, such as PTC, offer real value to our customers in this area" adds Dr Tobin.
