Dr Peter Tobin, founder of PTC, has recently been recognised as one of the few people in South Africa to be awarded the accolade of "Certified in the Governance of Enterprise Information Technology" (CGEIT) by ISACA. The certification requires holders to pass the certification examination and prove their experience through the submission of verified testimonials to their working experience in the field.
"This certification is proof of the professional standing of those who hold it" says Dr Tobin, "and can act as a differentiator for customers who are looking for the skilled advisors who can assist them in the type of consultancy services offered by PTC, when implementing Governance of Enterprise IT".
This latest certification puts Dr Tobin in a unique position in South Africa and into an exclusive global community. "It is rare indeed to hold this certification, alongside the PMP awarded by PMI , Professional Member status with PMSA and Professional Member status with IITPSA, in addition to a Doctoral qualification in Information Science" says Dr Tobin. PMSA and IITPSA both have less than 100 Professional Members, whilst ISACA SA Chapter has only recently seen the number of CGEIT holders pass the century mark.
