Five team members from the Volta River Authority participated in a four day workshop hosted by PTC in Pretoria, South Africa. This was in partnership with the National Research Foundation who provided extensive support in terms of the workshop venue. The workshop covered the principles of Knowledge Management (KM) as well as a wide variety of practical issues related to successful KM implementation. The delegates learned how to use techniques such as the Knowledge Cafe and Storytelling to support their initiatives. The final day of the workshop explored the World Bank's 10-step methodology for Monitoring and Evaluation, using a hands-on evaluation tool designed by PTC. An added bonus for the delegates was time spent exploring cultural and historical aspects of Gauteng, including the recently opened Freedom Park museum.
