PTC and KIM Consulting Group (KCG) have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly explore opportunities in South Africa, Zimbabwe and potentially across the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) region. "PTC and KCG share a number of areas of common interest, particularly in the fields of programme and project management" says Dr Peter Tobin of PTC. "The economic situation in Zimbabwe continues to recover, and this will bring an increase in demand for the skills and knowledge that will support projects in both the public and private sector. We need to support our clients in their project-related activities, and forming a partnership with PTC makes sense, given the PTC history of successful previous delivery of project management skills development in Zimbabwe and across the SADC region" says Mr Innocent Shumba, founder of KCG. An early sign of the commitment to explore areas of common interest between PTC and KCG is the planning already underway for a series of workshops which will explore the latest developments in international standards and best practice in the field of project management. "We need to consider the unique needs of the people of Zimbabwe, whilst raising the level of awareness of global developments" comments Mr Shumba.
