Over the past five years Dr Peter Tobin of PTC has facilitated a number of workshops on behalf of clients based in Botswana and South Africa with their coverage spread across the SADC region. The workshops have covered Project Management at both introductory and advanced level, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E).
These workshops have been delivered in Botswana, Lesotho, South Africa and Zambia, and October 2014 will see Namibia being added to the list of countries serviced by PTC and its international clients for M &E. Funding for these workshops has included both SADC-region as well as European-based sources and the World Bank.
"The initial stimulus for workshops in Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) came from a customer with a focus on satisfying international development partners such as the World Bank and European Commission, so the selection of the World Bank's 10-step methodology for results-based M & E made good sense" says Dr Tobin of PTC. Dr Tobin has taken the basic logic of the methodology and enhanced this with a number of case studies and practical tools, presented in an interactive, dynamic and engaging way, tailored to meet the needs of each client.
