Dr Peter Tobin, a retired officer who served in the UK Army Royal Regiment of Artillery, was recently invited by the RAF Officers' Club Johannesburg Branch to attend their Battle of Britain Memorial Luncheon. Dr Tobin is a past guest speaker at the Memorial Luncheon on the topic of leadership during the conflict, having been the Chairman of the Friends of the Museum of Military History located in Saxonwold, Johannesburg, where he made a similar presentation. Dr Tobin is also a past Branch Chairman of the Gunners' Association in Johannesburg and remains active in organising events on behalf of branch members. One such recent event was a fund-raising evening held jointly with the MOTHS Steel Helmet Shellhole based in Parkhurst, Johannesburg.
