Since late March 2014 Dr Peter Tobin has taken on a new identity as the author of the Twitter account @sapopitalk. "The number of followers at this stage is not as important as the fact that we have been re-Tweeted more than once and the investment in the POPI compliance solution co-developed with IACT-Africa means we are now keen observers of and commentators on the subject of POPI and related issues" says Dr Tobin. Tweets posted so far have covered a range of POPI-related topics, including the appointment of the Information Officer, transborder data flows, data storage practices and the importance of an up-to-date PAIA manual.
