PTC and IACT-Africa present at Corporate Governance Conference

Dr Peter Tobin, founder of PTC and Mr John Cato, CEO of IACT-Africa further extended their collaboration recently when they presented a joint paper on the relationship between Corporate Governance and information security. "It was clear that the audience of nearly 100 delegates drawn from across nearly a dozen African countries was well aware of the importance of effective IT Governance having been addressed earlier during the conference by Prof Mervyn King" says John Cato, "so our paper strongly reinforced that message". John's presentation was followed by a practical demonstration of how to conduct an assessment of capability maturity using the COBIT®5 framework by Dr Tobin. "We had a number of enquiries from interested senior executives and Board members in the audience, and expect to continue those discussions in the near future" says Dr Tobin.
