For the second time in less than six months Dr Peter Tobin of PTC was asked to present to delegates at the "African Corporate Governance Conference", held by Advantage Training during July 2014. "With around 150 delegates drawn from a dozen African countries and a high-powered lineup of speakers, it was an honour to be invited to partner with IACT-Africa on the topic of 'IT Governance: Information Security and its relationship with good Corporate Governance'" says Dr Peter Tobin of PTC. "Our session covered both the principles of effective information security as well as a practical demonstration of an assessment tool for data privacy and the POPI Act compliance needs, as well as for support of the COBIT5 framework" says John Cato of IACT-Africa.
