With funding from the World Bank, the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) partnered with PTC to deliver the third in a series of 5-day courses specially designed to meet the skills development needs of ZESCO, the Zambian national electricity utility company. This course was designed using the World Bank's own handbook for practitioners "10 Steps to a Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation System". During the workshop delegates were required to develop a team presentation based on a case study of a country which had implemented M & E, specifically looking at lessons to be applied to ZESCO. The course was delivered using a unique 10-step assessment tool designed by Dr Tobin. Of note was the assistance received by a speaker from the DBSA, Likeleli Komane, who provided a valuable insight into how her organisation applies the 10-step methodology in practice.
