IT Governance workshop turns concepts into reality

PTC in partnership with Mericapa recently delivered a five day workshop on Information Technology Governance (ITG) to delegates from three African countries. "Whilst the workshop provided a solid context for ITG by exploring regional and international best practice in Corporate Governance, the main focus was on the the COBIT®5 Framework" says Dr Peter Tobin of PTC who facilitated the workshop on behalf of Mericapa. Delegates worked with a number of practical tools which covered all phases of the ITG implementation life cycle, from executive sponsorship (ITG charter and the IT Steering Committee), through prioritisation and needs analysis to capability and maturity assessments. A computer-based project planning tool was used to help delegates plan their own ITG implementation projects. "Our continuing partnership with Dr Tobin has consistently delighted our mutual clients" says Mr Lambo Nguime, Director of Mericapa.
