The district offers a variety of state cost share programs. Each program offers best management practices targeted to meet specific program goals. These programs offer assistance to address agricultural, rural and urban water resource issues. Typically, 75% cost share assistance is provided to an applicant to install best management practices that benefit all citizens by improving water quality and quantity in North Carolina.
Interested parties can come by the office for more information and to talk with district staff about program opportunities. Support is provided to fill out applications for the various programs. Applications are ranked by the local district board using established ranking criteria at monthly board meetings. Once approved, contracts are established with the selected applicants to complete program requirements. Cost share funding is received when program requirements are certified by district staff.
