May 11 - September 1, 2025
Join Pack 748's first ever Multisport Summer Challenge! Get outside and keep track of the time you spend hiking, biking, and swimming. In September, participants will be entered into a drawing for special prizes. Every 60 minutes of activity gets you one entry.
In addition, the den that averages the MOST minutes over the summer will get bragging rights and special privileges throughout the upcoming year. Get outside with your den or your families and log those minutes!
Click here or scan the QR code above to log your minutes. You may enter your minutes as often as you like- after each activity, once a week, at the end of the summer, etc.
To keep things fair, we are logging minutes, not miles. Also, when entering your rank, remember that dens have been advanced since the May pack meeting. Lions are now Tigers, Tigers are now Wolves, etc.
Don't be afraid to log shorter activities- those 15-30 minute bike rides can really add up over the course of the summer.
Rules
We are Scouts, so we'll be using the honor system for logging minutes. You do not need to share your Strava maps with us.
Activities must be outside. No treadmills, indoor exercise bikes, or hot tubs.
Only log the time you are physically active. Your log from a day at the beach should only count the minutes you spend in the water.
Every 60 minutes of activity logged gets you one entry for the prize drawing. Individual activities do not have to be 60 minutes long. For example a single 2 hour hike or 12 ten minute bike rides over the course of the summer both count the same and would get you 2 entries.
Entries will be determined by adding all of the minutes logged by each Scout and dividing the total by 60 minutes, rounding down. So 574 minutes = 5 entries.
Prizes are for members of Pack 748 whose registration is current during the time of the challenge (May 11 - September 1, 2025). Scouts can only win one prize.
We encourage you to log all of your activities, but prize entries will be capped at 10 per Scout.
The winning den will be determined by the total number of minutes logged divided by the number of Scouts in the den. A single Scout cannot account for more than 50% of a den's total minutes. Den rewards will be decided by the Cubmaster.
Swim only to your only ability and under adult supervision at all times.
Follow the rules of the road when on your bike. Rides without a helmet will not be counted!
Remember the 6 Cub Scout Essentials and a buddy when on the trail.
Participation in this challenge will count as one activity toward the Summertime Fun Award for all ranks.
This challenge is inspired by but not associated with Scouting America's new Multisport Merit Badge. Participants will not earn the merit badge.
This challenge is being put together by volunteers, not lawyers. Every effort has been made to make the challenge fair. The Pack Committee has final say over the outcome of the challenge.
