In Cub Scouting, a Den is a group within the Pack composed of boys and/or girls and organized by grade level.
Dens can be both mixed boys and girls depending on how many children are enrolled with the Pack at that grade/age level.
Den meetings are held once a month (sometimes more often at higher grades), and last about an hour.
The location, time, and date for Den meetings is agreed upon by the families in the Den.
Program delivery is the main goal and decided by the National Cub Scout Program. Scouts participate in activities and work on projects that are related to an adventure, in their handbook, that helps them learn the skills they need to progress in rank.
