Pack 1509 is a Cub Scout Pack in Fort Hunt / Mount Vernon, Virginia. 

Our pack welcomes boys and girls in grades K-5 to participate. Pack 1509 meets as a group once a month, generally the second Tuesday of the month at Fort Hunt Elementary School (FHES). Our "home" elementary school is FHES, but we also have scouts that attend other nearby schools including Riverside, Bucknell, Bellevue, and Stratford Landing.

Our chartering organization is St. Aidan's Episcopal Church. Every scouting organization has a chartering organization. The chartering organization helps ensure we run a great program for our scouts and offers us the use of facilities and program oversite. 

We are a very active pack.  Annual pack activities include Scouting for Food, Wreaths across America, Pinewood Derby, Monthly Hikes, Little Hunting Creek Cleanup, Family Camping, Raingutter Regatta, Resident Weekend at Camp Snyder, and much more. Please see our calendar below for upcoming events.

HOW IS THE PACK STRUCTURED?

The Pack is broken up into six dens. Dens are grouped by grade, and each den has its own meeting schedule and requirements outside of Pack events. 

K - Lions; 1st - Tigers; 2nd - Wolves; 3rd - Bears; 4th - Webelos; 5th - Arrow of Lights 

Each den's program follows the Scout Adventures for each age/grade level, which include a variety of fun educational activities and requirements throughout the year.

Dens are led by trained and certified volunteer parent Den leaders and Assistant Den Leaders. The Pack Committee includes den leaders and additional trained and certified parent volunteers who design, administrate, and execute a fun and fulfilling year-round scouting program for the Pack.
