Bears, like Wolf Scouts, take on more and more responsibility. Bear Scouts get to work toward their tot'em chip and carry pocket knives. Third grade scouts are members of the Bear den. Achievements and electives are age appropriate and require a bit more focus than those for Tigers and Wolves.
For Ages 8/9 or 3rd Grade
Our girls Wolf den is lead by Jennifer Carner and Sophia Williams
Our boys Wolf Den is lead by Bryce Karulak
Bryce Karulak is the Bear Den Leader for Pack 102 in Boerne, TX. He volunteered for the position when our current Cub Master, Colby Tate, stepped into said position. Bryce has been apart of cub scouting since his oldest Son, Beckett, started cub scouting at the Lion level in 2017. It was only natural that Bryce would step into be the Bear Cub leader especially since his son is in the same Den.
When Bryce is not Scouting, he is a Board Certified Podiatrist in Foot and Ankle Surgery specializing in reconstructions and revisions. He currently is on medical staff at Hill Country Memorial Hospital and is one of the providers in Hill Country Memorial Medical Group which is affiliated with the Hospital. He is also heavily involved with an exercise group, F3, that meets four times a week in which he leads in workouts. He is also an active Rotarian, participating in many volunteer activities aimed at raising money for scholarships for high school students and monies for veteran’s organizations.
Bryce also participated in Scouting starting as a Bear and working his way up to Star Scout before having to leave scouting due to conflicts with School and Athletics. He is looking forward to having his Sons and Daughters accomplish Eagle as they pursue their Scouting Careers.
