Christmas Dinner, 14th December 2013

Our speaker, Professor Stephen Blyth (Christ's Cambridge) is managing director and head of public markets at the Harvard Management Company (HMC), the subsidiary of Harvard University responsible for the management of its endowment. Stephen runs HMC’s investment activity across public equity, fixed income, credit and commodity markets. He will speak on "The Legacy of the Super Collider."

Stephen is also Professor of the Practice of Statistics at Harvard University, and teaches applied quantitative finance within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. In May 2013 he was awarded the Phi Beta Kappa prize for excellence in teaching. His book, An Introduction to Quantitative Finance, will be published by Oxford University Press in December 2013.

Before joining Harvard in 2006, Stephen was managing director and head of the global rates proprietary trading group at Deutsche Bank in London, and managing director at Morgan Stanley in New York.

Attire for gentlemen will be black tie, college blazer or business suit.

The cost of this event is $95 per person ($75 for student members) and includes a reception with a full bar (1 drinks ticket included) and a formal meal with wine. Security: Please be aware that entry to the Federal Reserve building will require a photo ID matching the name on your dinner reservation and airport-like security.
