William Harrell "Jugo" Cunningham died September 22, 1972 at Chaffee General Hospital in Chaffee. He was born December 8, 1912 in Chaffee the son of Charles Henry and Edith Lou Harrell Cunningham. He married Lillian Ruth Spradling of Chaffee on January 10, 1943.
He served in the U.S. Army, 727 Railroad operating Battalion as 1st Lt. In Asiatic-Pacific Theater.
He was employed for Frisco Railway Company and served as a field supervisor with United Transportation Union.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, B.P.O.E #1810, Chaffee Lodge A.F.&A.M. #615, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #48, 35 year membership in U.T.U., served 10 years on Chaffee Board of Education, 10 years for Scott Co. Selective Service Board, VFW Post #3124.
He is survived by his wife, two sons; Steven Harrell of MS, Thomas Dale of the home, one daughter Mrs. Michael R. (Linda) Wessel, brothers, Eugene, Frank and Charles.
