About

Out of the Bag Theatre explores theatre making with and for children, young people and the community. We provide creative opportunities, the chance to learn new skills, have a go and be part of the making! An inclusive, welcoming approach for all. The work plays with different disciplines - dance, movement, music & art - to explore the world with imagination.

Out of the Bag began in Hackney, London and since 2011 has been based in Hastings and St Leonards-On-Sea, East Sussex and works across the South East.

Different ‘bags’:

• In To The Space: performance & play. Now with pre-school children & their carers with plans to extend to children, young people and across the community to all ages.

• Interactive stories.

• HATs Drama & Music for Early Years.

• Performing Arts for Primary Schools: specialist workshops, bespoke workshops & projects, on-going clubs & devised shows.

• Theatre for Secondary Schools and Colleges

• Community & Education Projects: such as REAL Creative: Early Years Literacy project.
