You expired, Jesus,
but the source of life gushed forth for souls,
and the ocean of mercy
opened up for the whole world.
O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy,
envelop the whole world and
empty yourself out upon us.
Repeat three times:

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth
from the Heart of Jesus
as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in you!
Come, Holy Spirit,
Come, Holy Spirit,
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
and kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created,
and you shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray.
O God, who have taught the hearts of the faithful
by the light of the Holy Spirit,

Most holy Trinity, Godhead indivisible,

you have made us in accord with your own image and likeness.
Grant that all the thoughts of our minds,

all the affections of our hearts,
and all the actions of our being
may always be conformed to your holy Will.
So may we, having seen you veiled in appearance here below
by means of faith,

Heavenly Father, you entrusted your Son Jesus, the child of Mary,
to the care of Joseph, his foster father.
Bless all fathers and grandfathers
as they care for their families.
Give them strength and wisdom,
tenderness and patience,
give them ability to love in a way
that reflects your love.
Support them in the work they have to do,
protecting those who look to them,
as we look to you for love and salvation.
Help us to love them in a way
that would bring honor to You and them.

by the imperfections of their fathers

Lord Jesus,

Support them as they grow older.
May they continue to be for their families
strong pillars of Gospel faith,
guardians of noble domestic ideals,
living treasuries of sound religious traditions.
Make them teachers of wisdom and courage,
that they may pass on to future generations
the fruits of their mature
human and spiritual experience.
Lord Jesus, help families and society to value the presence and role of grandparents.
May they never be ignored or excluded, but always encounter respect and love.
Help them to live serenely and to feel welcomed in all the years of life which you give them.
Mary, Mother of all the living,
keep grandparents constantly in your care, accompany them on their earthly pilgrimage,
and by your prayers, grant that all families may one day be reunited
our heavenly homeland, where you await all humanity
for the great embrace of life without end.

Gracious and loving God,
we thank you for the gift of our priests.
Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.
Help our priests to be strong in their vocation.
Set their souls on fire with love for your people.
Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need
to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.
Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel.
Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.
Help them to become instruments of your divine grace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest.
