The Metolius River Forest Homeowners Association is comprised of river cabin owners along the scenic Metolius River, in Oregon's Deschutes National Forest. Our objective is to preserve the magnificent and unique environment of the Metolius River and the historic community identity of Camp Sherman, in partnership with the US Forest Service.

We trace our beginnings back to the early 1900's when Sherman County farmers and ranchers first built cabins along the river.  The 108 cabin owners have provided a sense of community and continuity in the basin through the years, as we enjoy and share the river with other homeowners, campers and visitors.

The National Forest Homeowners is another extremely valuable resource for all cabin owners. NFH is our most important source of information and influence for policy and permit-related issues that affect every cabin. MRFHA strongly encourages NFH membership.  Your membership, and the financial support it helps provide NFH, gives us a voice and influence at the national level with the Forest Service and in Congress for the many laws and rules that govern the Recreational Residence program. You can join and support NFH at a discounted rate when your dues are paid with your MRFHA tract dues.  You can find dues form and information here.
