The Ozark-Prairie Regional Chapter of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) provides a forum for scientists and students in the broad fields of Environmental Toxicology and Environmental Chemistry to exchange information pertinent to the Ozark-Prairie region and offers assistance and support to students entering these professions.

Annual meetings are held the third week of May, usually after completion of spring terms of Universities in the region. Meeting locations rotate among MO, OK, IA, IL and KS.

Meetings last 1.5 days, with an option for short courses at some meetings. Meetings include: a plenary session with invited speakers; contributed poster and platform sessions, which include student award competitions; meetings of the general membership and the board of directors. Other meeting activities include field trips and socials, opportunities for networking, camaraderie, and friendly athletic competition.

Our region consists of large portions of the central United States, including much of the Ozark Plateau, the "Corn Belt" and Great Plains. In recent years, chapter membership has included residents of Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas.
